I hail from a town called Siddhapura in Karwar district of Karnataka. I had interest in volleyball during my school days. However, I discontinued playing after 10th to give more time to my studies. While I dearly missed my daily dose of sport, I was looking forward to a well paying and satisfying job after the completion of my B.Sc. course. I worked for ayear, but wasn’t too happy with my job.

That was the time when my brother-in-law suggested that I should go back to sports and build a career around it. With his encouragement and knowledge as a sports teacher backing me up, I enrolled to get a Bachelors degree in Physical Education.

It was an uphill battle, to say the least. I almost felt that I had forgotten how to play! The training was tough. I got injured, had my share of underperforming days, but never lost hope. Finally, I graduated with distinction.

But the challenges never stopped. I landed a job with EduSports during the campus placements, but my parents didn't want me to join a corporate setup. They wanted me to work for a school. That’s when my principal stepped in and after some major efforts, was able to convince my parents.

This is my 5th year with EduSports and it has been a delightful journey to play with the kids and train them. Sports has been my life anchor and I am happy that I found my calling around it.
