I am a basketball player from Dharwad. After having finished my BPEd course, I enrolled for masters in the same field. Being one of the better players around during my graduation, I was confident about my game.

However, during my first year, I could not get selected for the university. My performance was below par. That was when I realised that if one really wants to ace their game, it is very important to play with newer players instead of practicing in the same circles. Therefore, I joined a sports club where I got a chance to practice with a wider set of players. I learnt new techniques and worked very hard on my game.

The determination to learn helped me survive through this tough period and rise like a phoenix. I got selected in my second year and contributed very well to the team.

Just like myself, I know a lot of people back in my hometown who are very good at sports but just need a little more exposure to prove their mettle. I hope that my story will motivate them and others to ace their game.
