Heroes of EduSports

Life has come full circle | Manpreet Kaur | Heroes of EduSports

I became a Basketball coach when I was in class 12th and continued it for 7 years before I entered into a corporate set up.

It all started when I picked up an unattended Basket Ball and started goofing around. I was in class 5th then. Our coach took notice and then started training me. It was he who took me to a stadium and helped me get proper practise. And as they say, there was no looking back. I continued my winning streak to university, played many matches at national level through my school and college and then coached Basket Ball to school children. Life has come full circle.

My Play is My Identity | Ashish Jha | Heroes of EduSports

Thanks to my father’s job in Indian Air Force, I have been in almost every state of the country and have many sports jerseys as I kept playing whatever came my way.

Whenever we used to relocate to a new place, I used to build friendship with sports. My playing out became my identity and social currency everywhere.

Know your failures closely | Rajith Kumar | Heroes of EduSports

It is important to lose, to know what it takes to win. I attribute my successes in life to the failures that preceded them.

Being a marital arts student and then a trainer myself, I understand the value of pain and endurance. I believe that bearing the pain teaches the body how to become stronger.

Sports is Everything | Shakuntala Rana | Heroes of EduSports

Sports has given me everything- a supportive family, my education, career and my husband too.

My father was a football player and the biggest influence in my life. I had started playing basketball, handball, netball and all other games when I was 11 years old.

Sportsperson at Heart | Arun Kanthal | Heroes of EduSports

We are all sportsperson at heart; I believe the challenge is to stay one as life hits you. I am lucky to have found a job that helps me stay one. My highest priority is sports and physical fitness. I hit the gym in the evening after work because I love to stay fit. At work, I focus on my students and after that it is my body that I have to discipline and teach.
